FAQs

Can my grade go down?
Yes. Any review can lead to an increase, decrease, or no change in grade.

How long will it take?
Priority reviews: These differ by exam board; however, they usually aim to get them back within 15 calendar days.
Standard reviews: These differ by exam board and subject; however, they are likely to take between 2-4 weeks to be completed.

I think I want to access my script or ask for a review. What should I do now?
If you would like to request any Post-Results Services, the first step is to complete the Microsoft form above, registering your initial interest. The school will review this and determine if it is appropriate to go aheadPlease note that the school will decide whether to proceed with any review of marks and registering your interest does not guarantee that it will be submitted to the exam board.

Will the school cover the costs of my request?
In some cases, the school will pay for a student’s request, and this will be communicated to you in advance. If you do not receive confirmation from the school, please assume that you will need to cover the cost yourself.

Will I get a refund?
Exam boards only refund if the grade changes.

Certificate Collection

Once they are available, GCSE and A Level certificates may be collected from reception during normal school hours. Photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence, is required when collecting certificates.

If you would like to nominate a representative to collect your certificates, you will need to supply your written permission by emailing exams@avonbourneacademy.org.uk from your personal email address.

Keep your certificates safe! Examinations certificates may be required by any future educational establishments you apply to, as well as by employers, as proof of your achievements. The school does not retain copies of any certificate. Students who lose their certificates will need to contact each individual examination board directly and arrange to pay for replacements to be produced.
