Learning from Home

If your child is in good health but cannot attend school due to Covid-19, we expect them to continue with their learning from Day 1. Students will continue learning at home and learn the same things at home as they would if they were in school.

Students will follow their normal timetable, including Tutor Time & DEAR by joining their normal lessons remotely via Microsoft Teams. Homework will continue to be set. The teacher will either calendar the lesson in Teams for a student to join at the usual time, or they will call the student directly via Microsoft Teams at the start of the lesson for the student to answer.

We will always endeavour to provide ‘live’ remote teaching as quickly as possible, but please understand that there could be a short delay between the isolation being reported and communication being received by teachers during a full teaching day.

We therefore ask for your patience with this. Not all lessons are able to be live streamed and during periods of staff illness, our ability to offer live lessons can be reduced. In these circumstances, students will be informed by the Head of Department via a message on the class Team and work will be set using the United Learning Student Facing Curriculum and/or Oak National Academy.
